Why are shipping costs so high inside the United States?
NOTE : Free shipping inside the USA for orders over $50!! The postal service recently raised their prices yet again to try to match their real costs, but they are still cheaper than other shippers like FedEx or UPS. I encourage you to be nice to your mail carrier – they do hard work under often miserable conditions.
How much of a charge do you add for Handling?
I do not charge for handling.
Why don’t you offer MEDIA MAIL shipping?
Publications that contain advertisements legally cannot be shipped via MEDIA MAIL. Yes, some sellers do ship via MM, but these packages are liable to be opened en route by the postal service and the package will arrive with significant postage due. I would consider it a failing on my part if my customers had a delayed package and had to pay extra postage when it did arrive.

Which shipping type should I choose?
USPS Priority shipping is a little faster and perhaps more reliable than USPS Ground Advantage (formerly First Class, Standard and Parcel Post combined). That means, with Priority shipping, your precious magazine spends less time in the sometimes rough-and-tumble mail system. Ground Advantage shipping is cheaper, though it is a little slower. Express shipping is available, but expensive, if you are in a real hurry.
How quickly will my order be shipped?
I generally ship within 24 hours of receiving your order if you pay by card or Paypal. If you pay by Paypal eCheck or via mailed check or money order, your order will be shipped when I receive the payment. I will email you when your order is shipped and you will receive a tracking number.
How will my purchase be packed?
I package professionally : all magazines are in archival polypropylene storage bags and are shipped in a stiff, flat container.
What are the shipping charges?
Inside the USA, Ground Advantage is a Flat Rate up to a $50 order and free after that. Priority and Express are a FLAT RATE per order, no matter how large the order. The shopping cart will display your choices and the charges for each.
Do you ship outside of the United States?
I ship only to Canada outside the USA. Priority and Express are a single FLAT RATE per order.
Can you ship via UPS or FedEx?
I’m sorry, No. I ship ONLY via the USPS Postal Service.
Can you ship overnight?
Yes, in many cases. The fastest USPS shipping service is named “Priority Express” though I generally call it “Express.” An Express package may take as many as three days to reach you depending on your location and the day and time of day your order comes in, though many items are delivered the next day. The Express truck leaves our town at 1 p.m. (1300) Rocky Mountain time. All Express orders received after that time effectively go out the next day. Third day delivery generally happens only if a Sunday or Holiday fall in the middle of your delivery period.
I couldn’t figure out how to enter separate “ship to” information and I want the magazine to go to someone else.
Just send me an email right away with the “Ship to” information you want and the name used for the order. This is a small business and I can make sure that your order is processed correctly.
