Cover : Cleaning woman distracted by book in library as she cleans, “The Lure of Books,” art by C. Coles Phillips. All of Phillips art is great, but I think this is one of his most attractive covers.

– Full page black and white ads for Columbia Motor Car Company (art by Edward Poucher), White Company (It’s motoring time – it’s White time), Life magazine (next issue : Summer Girl Number), Packard Motor Car Company (1912 Packard “six” touring car, signed but illegible), Locomobile cars (two pages, mostly words), Country Life magazine.
– Full page art or cartoon art by Chester I. Garde (Some recent books), Harrison Cady (A wedding amongst the June bugs).
