– Two page centerspread art by W. A. Rogers (An interesting display of pyrotechnics), the Farmer’s Alliance chasing off both the Democratic and the Republican parties with pitchforks.
– Some current events include : Fourth of July holiday, A group of Garner family members express their disapproval of the marriage of a young woman of the family to Gordon-Cumming (i.e. it wasn’t the parents objecting), Professor William James of Cambridge is making a census of hallucinations and apparitions, Mrs. George L. Schuyler don’t want a statue to her exhibited.
