Cover : Father Gander’s Melody, campaign of aggression, art by TH Fleming (might be Thomas Fleming or Homer Fleming, but I can’t verify it).

– Full page art or cartoon art by J. A. Mitchell (Lawn tennis on the beach – with poem by M. H. G. of Kennebunkport).
– Two page centerspread art by E. W. Kemble, The national game, Baseball.
– Some current events include : Reverend Gillespie Turner of Cairo Illinois and his evangelical campaign against the stronghold of Satan in Brackettsville Texas (humorously they thought he was the lead man for a delayed circus).
