Description

Cover : Bound woman laying on the railroad tracks as train bears down, “Perils of the rail,” art by Orson Lowell.  Looks much like something from the famous “Perils of Pauline” series.

– Full page color Velvet tobacco ad with two men smoking pipes, one seated, Nature-ageing of Tobacco.
– Full page art or cartoon art by Leo Cheney (Johnnie Walker whisky ad), Harry Grant Dart (two excellent pages : Then (1804) and now (1917)),
– Small photos of Collette Perreau (baby 379) ad her older sister, Jean Thomas (baby 220) and his mother, Suzanne and Robert Merraut (babies 97 and 98).
– Two page centerspread art by Charles Dana Gibson (Lady Peace as The Wallflower).
